Programme Schedules for Term 3/2008 (23 Jun to 30 Aug 2008)

Posted: 29 Jan 2008 / Programmes & Admissions Team

Theme: “I Made Something Strange with My Chemistry Set…” and other intriguing poems by Jack Prelutsky

This term, join us as we delve into the vivid imaginary world of the famous American writer of children’s poetry, Jack Prelutsky. Watch as our teachers tango to Forty Performing Bananas, and laugh when Prelutsky asserts that you should Be Glad Your Nose is On Your Face. There will be opportunities to discover the properties of glue and other substances, when we submerge ourselves into scientific experiments involving Super-Goopy Glue and I Made Something Strange with my Chemistry Set. And Beware! You may even meet an ogre or a dragon when you least expect it, just when you think that Today is Very Boring…

Call now to express an interest in our Programmes! We will learn to twist our tongues over exquisite words and rhymes, “give back” when we raise funds for World Vision Singapore and extend our playful imaginations to where space, castles and even elephants, reside.

Schedules for Term 3/2008 are shown in the table below. For enquiries on admission, please call our School Administrator, at +65-6836-1450 or use our Online Enquiry Form.

What's New

Posted: 15 March 2006 / Programmes & Admissions Team

On Wednesdays, children in our Bright Starts and Head Starts levels learn about Life Skills. This module incorporates instruction in Emotional Intelligence abilities, as well as adaptive competencies such as dressing, washing and cooking activities. Follow the links to look at pictures of how much the children enjoy this component!

The Bright Starts III, Head Starts I and Head Starts II levels are distinguished by a daily segment called The Project Approach that integrates concept from Mathematics, Science and Language in the process of initiating, presevering through, and completing a task of investigation. In particular, the children are encouraged to

  1. observe and measure phenomena
  2. reason and think through prediction, deduction or inference
  3. represent ideas, concepts and results through art, pictures and words

To better understand how this programme benefits the children who participate in it, follow these links to A Project on Cups and A Project on Hands. It might give you an idea of how, as a learning centre, we strive to produce thinkers, doers and dreamers!
