Head Starts I (5 yo) & Head Starts II (6 yo)

As a gesture of gratitude to all of our current parents who have supported the work of the school over these many years, school-fees will NOT be raised in the academic year 2009. Wee Care will also continue to absorb the Goods & Services Tax (GST).

New families who join Wee Care will pay a Registration fee of $125/- instead of the current $85/- with effect from 1st Jan 09. However, Insurance and Deposit rates will remain the same.

Publishers have raised the cost of books across the board, so this increase may be reflected in your termly bill when the new year starts.

Wee Care’s Head Starts I and Head Starts II classes were developed for children between the ages of 5 years (K1) and 6 years (K2) respectively.

These classes run from 10.30am to 2pm daily, and build upon the foundation of skills developed and learnt in the Bright Starts levels by incorporating the already excellent Academic, Play, Life Skills and "The Project Approach" curriculum with even more enriching and mind-stretching ventures like Fund-Raising (for Charities), Mini-Business Efforts, and even Cultural Immersion Field-Trips!

PARENT / CAREGIVER INVOLVEMENT

Children who are attending school for the first time without the accompaniment of their parents and caregivers may have Separation Anxiety. Therefore, parents and caregivers should co-operate with Wee Care educators to assure their children and to help them to settle down in school. Details here.

A Profile of Progress, showing some of the lessons taught and more importantly, the different categories of the individual child's development, will be made available to all parents at the end of each semester.

ADMISSION and FEES

Children are admitted into the "Head Starts" Programme at the start of each term through the completion of a parent-accompanied Holiday Programme or a Primer Programme, or a personal admission consultation. Such an admission procedure will enable parents and children to get to know the Wee Care educators and the school environment prior to starting school. The impact of Separation Anxiety will also be reduced. Therefore, direct and/or mid-term admissions are only given on a case-by-case basis.

In addition, there are books and other materials that must be bought when required. Deposits are refunded according to the terms and conditions of registration.
